Vinyl Decals: An Overview

Vinyl decals are DIE-CUT, meaning they have no background. If a background color is present in the picture, it is only for illustrative purposes. The actual background color will be the color of the surface on which the sticker is placed, or clear if applied to a window. Vinyl decals consist of three main components:

1. Top layer: A transparent transfer tape that holds the decal or sticker together until it is applied.
2. Middle layer: The actual decal or sticker, sandwiched between the transfer tape and the wax backing.
3. Bottom layer: The wax backing, which protects the adhesive until the decal is ready to be applied.

Application Tips:

1. Apply vinyl decals on surfaces with an ideal temperature between 60°F and 90°F. Avoid extreme cold or heat.
2. Do not touch the adhesive backing, as the oils from your skin can prevent proper adhesion.
3. Before applying the decal, ensure the surface is clean and free of wax or oily products.

Application Instructions:

1. Rub the sticker to ensure the transfer tape is properly adhered.
2. Clean and dry the desired application area. Stickers adhere best to clean, smooth surfaces.
3. Slowly remove the wax backing, making sure the sticker remains attached to the transparent transfer tape.
4. Carefully position the sticker in the desired area.
5. Rub the sticker from one side to the other, eliminating any air bubbles.
6. Use an object, such as a credit card, to ensure the entire sticker is fully adhered to the surface.
7. Slowly remove the transfer tape, making sure no part of the sticker remains on it.
8. Check for any remaining air bubbles. In most cases, these can be worked to the edge of the sticker, but if not, a pinhole will allow the air to escape, making the bubble virtually invisible.
