Vinyl Decals: A Detailed Overview

Vinyl decals are DIE-CUT, meaning they have no background. The background color in the picture is used only as an example, and the actual background color will be the color of the surface on which the sticker is placed, or clear if applied on a window.

A vinyl decal consists of three layers:

1. Top layer: A transparent transfer tape that holds the decal or sticker together until it is applied.
2. Middle layer: The actual decal or sticker, sandwiched between the Application Tape and the Wax Backing.
3. Bottom layer: The wax backing, which protects the adhesive until the decal is ready to be applied.

Application Tips:

1. Avoid applying decals on extremely cold or hot surfaces. The ideal temperature range is between 60°F and 90°F.
2. Do not touch the adhesive backing, as the oils from your skin can prevent the sticker from adhering properly.
3. Ensure the surface is clean and free of any wax or oily products before applying the decal.

Application Instructions:

1. Rub the sticker to ensure the transfer tape is properly adhered.
2. Clean and dry the desired application area. Stickers will stick best to clean, smooth surfaces.
3. Slowly remove the wax backing, making sure the sticker stays adhered to the transparent transfer tape.
4. Carefully position the sticker in the desired area.
5. Rub the sticker from one side to the other, eliminating any air bubbles.
6. Use an object, such as a credit card, to ensure the entire sticker is fully adhered to the surface.
7. Slowly remove the transfer tape, making sure no part of the sticker remains on it.
8. Check for any remaining air bubbles. In most cases, air bubbles can be worked to the edge of the sticker, but if not, a pin hole will allow the air out and become virtually invisible.
